PLEASE RESET THIS SEASON.

The general opinion is that positional ranking is trash. My opinion is that forcing new players to start off at Iron 5-4 is really stupid. Though I'm fine with positional ranking, starting new accounts at the bottom specifically because they're new accounts serves no purpose, helps nobody, and ultimately just creates an even more failed system than it used to be. This entire ranked season is completely wrong.

Position ranks aside for now, I'm gonna mention a better way of dealing the new accounts and ultimately matchmaking. Instead of simply defaulting new accounts to bottom of the barrel for whatever idiotic, illogical reason, why not base their placement games off normals MMR? I see no reason for you to group someone who's playing at a Gold MMR in Iron, even as a starting rank. It's bad enough that nothing but wins matter in ranked, facilitating toxicity. Start people off in ranked where they should be, not where you subjectively decide is best.

I'm actually quite fine with Position Ranks because not only does LP rise among all your roles but it at the very least gives a representation of how you fare across the positions, even if I think the lack of performance inclusion in ranking is self-destructive. This is a better start than what we have, at least.
