Questions about lp gain in Diamond

So I recently climbed to Diamond 5, and I have some questions about Lp gain

  1. I noticed an interesting trend in my lp gain/losses. In platinum 1 and 2 I would gain around 23-25 per win and lose 16-17 per loss. Fluctuations were rare. However in D5 I noticed when I win 2 or more games in a row I gain around 20 lp for the wins but after i lose a game my next win gives me 18 lp, and only after winning another game does it rise back up to 20. LP gains/losses seem to fluctuate more. Why is that?
  2. Is it true that Lp gain gets slower the higher up one progesses up diamond tier? I've even heard in diamond 1 you gain around 2-3 lp per win but lose 4-5 lp per loss. Is that true?
  3. How are losing streaks/winning streaks tolerated in higher diamond? EDIT: Extra question 4)There seems to be a lot of crap about people in d5 losing much more lp than they gain, However I don't experience it. Has it been fixed or something?

No i've watched wingsofdeath and BoxBox stream plenty of times since you climbed into a higher elo its most likely your not gaining as much because you mmr is more in tune to what elo your in little higher little lower same old same old.
