Dear Riot, could you make this game a bit more Skills based instead of Pick based?

I really liked the Fiora, Gangplank and Poppy reworks. They made some non popular - 0 skills required champions become more challenging, but also worth mastering, since they are rewarding and they do need experience, champion mechanics and general skills.

Even though that's true for most champions in the game, there are some champions that are just too strong in solo queue or generally as champions and they seriously require no champion mechanics, experience or any skills at all. All you have to know to play them is to farm and build them correctly.

For example:

Jax , Malphite , Maokai . No, I am not crying about them being too strong when they are ahead, I am just simply mentioning that they shouldn't be as rewarding as skill based champions when they are ahead.

I mean, why would a fed jax be stronger to carry when he is fed than a zed? Obviously, jax doesn't requires any skills, jax "mechanics" would oonly be called his Q on wards and other stuff + an auto attack reset on his W, so you don't even need time to master jax, you simply get in the game, build him prooperly and there you go, if you get ahead you are pretty damn strong. On the other hand, Zed is a champion that definitely requires skills and champion mechanics and I don't think anyone can doubt that. That means it would take you some time to master Zed and all his mechanics and tricks you can do with his shadows. So, since Zed is a champion that you will have to sweat to master and then perform decent, or above average, or awesome, however you perform, and get ahead, you will still fall off late game because enemies can simply build QSS and Zhonya's to deny your ultimate.

Zed was just an example, Jax, Malphite and Maokai were also examples. There are many champions that are less skill required than other champions, but way more rewarding. Can we do something about that Riot?

Thanks for reading the long post. Here, take a conceptual potato []

While I agree, I also disagree to an extent. Many of the older champions seem "easier" to play but it is because they had kits from a much different period in the game's history. Jax just needs a rework, his kit is too simple and too rewarding for it to be actually healthy. There are a lot of champions that would benefit from a rework to make their kits a bit more skill related and Riot is slowly starting to do that. It will take time but Riot is essentially doing what you want them to do, which is going through and making the game a bit more skill reliant through champion interaction. So just be patient ^_^

I stopped reading after you said this about rework Fiora.

You mean a good Zyra should have a cat whiskers chance to win lane vs a Zed?

Ya that is not going to happen. Riot would have to you know work on balance instead of just make 15 champs the only champs to pick and first blood sets the game.

Jax is actually pretty hard to play lol...the difference in winrate for a first time Jax and a Jax main in ranked is almost 15% (44-58)...only Ryze reaches that kind of level.
