I don't have proof to back this up, but hitboxes get seriously messed up whenever you walk inside of minions, even if you're on the other side of them. I don't know why or how, but most incidents I've seen tend to involve having come out of or been inside a minion. It's almost like the netcode that updates character positioning goes off the wall when passing through minions.

Good question. Looks like the minion should have been hooked, then Ryze if the minion wasn't there, then the second minion if Ryze wasn't there. It doesn't even look like the "corner" of the hit box should have hit you. This one is a weird one.

Few things in the game work. Play MF in lane and watch the Q's pick champions at random times. Play Fiora and watch the Q hit the vital when it's 100 degrees to the left.

Riot hitboxes are overall pretty bad, this is another example of how bad they really are. A hook can grab you even if it misses by an 2 or 3 Teemos.

The answer is obvious. Vash was off the screen to the right and shot blitz in the hand to turn it just before it was about to hit the minion.

you should look at Zoe's bubble, it literally will move like 25% of the lane width while moving camera.

Why don't they advertise fun and interactive moments like this in their ads.

I suspect this is due to the following:

  • Champion hitboxes are bigger than minion hitboxes.
  • Champion animation isn't 100% consistent to hitbox location, especially when mid-stride.
  • Blitzcrank grabs the first champion that any part of the hook hitbox hits.

From the video, it looks like MF is at the most forward part of her walk animation (i.e. the furthest in that direction compared to her actual in-game location), and the hook taps a handful of pixels on the outer edge of your hitbox before it hits anything else.

Too many champs in this game function as tools.

There are a few reasons I can think of here:

  • Minion hitboxes are a lot smaller than champion hitboxes (so you can get hooked while being graphically behind them since your box extends further forward than the minion's)
  • Rito hitboxes (not trying to meme... they're genuinely pretty bad)
  • Blitz hook is super wide compared to how it looks
  • At max range of skillshots, it balloons out even wider than point #3 ... I think there's a reason why but idk it. I just know it does it. It leads to a lot of hooks like Blitz/thresh just jumping 3 or 4 teemos to the left/right it seems just to hit you.

I quit playing a while ago because of the bugs (but I visit the boards to get a tldr of kind of what is going on in LoL from time to time), and just how unfun this game is to play. Lol it's nice to know that this stuff still happens to others and it is still just as confusing.

what? do you doubt riots hitboxes? they are PERFECT how dare you.

as alrdy said by a comment before: dont walk around minions. minionblock and hitboxes are totally shit. and riot refuses to adress this
