@Riot Morde's New W passive in Aram

Is morde's new W passive bugged in aram? It seems that you only receive XP for killing cannon creep. I had received only 125 XP (cannon minions giving roughly 62-63) while having over 40 cs by the end of the game. Is this intended or a bug?
