Aurelion Sol's Starsurge Delay

Hey everybody. I thought it was kind of unfair that Anivia's stun (similar to Aurelion's as it is a slow-traveling skillshot) can be activated instantly to stun a melee champion that is on top of you, but Aurelion cannot do the same with his stun. Basically if he doesn't have his ult up, he's completely powerless against anybody with a decent gap closer. Especially if they can stick, like Yi or Akali. In fact I just witnessed a game where we had an Aurelion who got really fed (like 15/1) and this Akali who was 2/8 with no cs still destroyed him. I just think his stun should be able to be reactivated instantly for a melee-range stun like Anivia's stun so that he can defend himself against gap closers.

Aurelion is not under-powered, contrary to your belief.

I think this is an intended weakness, and I think it makes sense for him to have it. Aurelion Sol's gameplay theme is all about keeping people at just the right distance to rack up the passive star damage. He has two ranges for those stars, and the way the enemy is supposed to deal with it is to be a long range champ that pokes from outside or one that can get right up in his face. Neither of those can be reached by his stun (Technically, the long range one can if they let him walk towards them with the core) Sol does have one chance for recourse if he fails to keep the enemy in his zone: his ult.

Anivia on the other hand has a more standard caster paradigm for her spells, so the precise positioning is not the major focus of her gameplay, and an instant reactivation, 0 range stun makes more sense for her.
