Small HUD repairs needed.

As you all may know, the juggernaut patch had added updates to several of the league's more tankier bruisers which we all know in love. With this patch, there was a certain mechanic added to Garen called "Villain". This effect places a permanent circular icon of the player off the opposing team to be Garen's target. Unfortunately, it seems to cover a large part of the display when playing as or against a Garen.

Now, you must be thinking to yourself: Okay, well he has a huge icon; why does it really matter? The issue comes when farming and in teamfights. When farming, a large part of the wave is covered by the icon, forcing the player to pull back to find and time his next minion which he is going to last hit. This increases the difficulty for both players in the lane since it covers up too much space while being unscalable.

I recommend having a small buff on Garen's buff bar which tells him who his target is, and a warning buff on the target itself. Or, have the icon be toggleable by pressing a key OR reduce the alpha channel on the icon to allow for more visibility.

Now, that being said; I would like to bring up another hud issue I have experienced for a while. Teamfights are unavoidable in league of legends; Be it on 3v3, 5v5 or ARAM. In all situations, I find myself being lost in them and picking a target before going in due to all the HUD's that are in the way blocking vision of other potential targets. To resolve this issue, I recommend having either the Alpha on the HP boxes scale with the distance of players to each other. For example: If you and an enemy come close together, let's say two yasuo's mirror laning, the an alpha reduction on the HP bars will be applied by 80%, making the HP bars still visible while allowing for visibility of one another when in close quarters.

A second solution would be to scale the HP bar sizes when in close proximity, or have an hp "Compact" mode in close quarters and have it take up a half of the space it normally does. Something like having it condensed to the size of a minion HP bar while still maintaining the details it provides. This update would make teamfights much more intuitive and help with the major clutter of various icons, spell effects and what not that teamfights already are.

I agree. There is just too much going on sometimes which leads to poor plays. The Garen one is a obvious fix riot should have seen from the getgo.
