Since we are allowing mages to be played in the bot lane...

Its time to actually discuss the one bane to all Mages in the bot lane. A super hard counter.

To be exact, the silence zone.

Everything else in her kit is very fair. The silence zone is however not.

If we take a look at every other silence currently in the game. There is some form of delay (saying that you have the enemy champion within vision range and its not a bushmaster )

Examples:

is a silence with travel time and distance and his is an interrupt and not a full silence.

Call of the Void has a .35 second delay before it goes off.

Has to run at you and hit you with his Q.

has a small range in which he has to get very close to get use out of, I'm not saying it is the fairest of them all. But it doesn't linger and doesn't have anything else tied to it.

Doesn't get his until level 6 and on top of that, normally requires him to be close to his target. Normally not used unless he is going for a kill.

Is actually pretty non-fair, but overall its pretty much his entire kit. Without it, he will just die when he ulti's in. Champion probably requires a rework of some sort, but overall its not because its not overpowered. Its because its the only thing keeping his kit together.

is tied to his ulti. Which requires him to be in range to get off instantly, since it is only an interrupt.

But when compared to someone like they all pale in comparison to the utility. None of them have anything else tied to their silences. While our culprit at hand has the silence that last the whole duration (if you are stuck in it) + a little after and then roots.

I'm not saying to gut it, but it needs to be like almost every other champions silence. Give it a delay and some time to play around about .35-.5 seconds would be all that someone needs. Make the zone bigger if you have to to compensate for the delay. But as it stands, it can completely screw ALL engages with mages.

It is similar to old cage. It was instant, but was a stun.
