What's the point of playing normals?

No, fucking seriously. every single normal game I am in, I have to deal with plats and diamonds. I'm fucking silver and I am stuck getting match with and against plat/diamond tier players in normals. This is absolutely crap. Why the fuck do I have to play against titans as a mere mortal? It ruins the game and makes playing anti-fun as fuck.

Practice and being able to apply your skills and ideas without consequences that exist in ranked

If you play normals more it'll figure out a suitable mmr for you, which from the sounds of things would be something lower than you're currently at.

Playing against/with 'titans' can be exciting though, as you can be fairly confident that your teammates won't hold you back (something bronze/silver players often feel is the case), and it's a good learning opportunity to see what kind of mistakes you're making that you didn't realize were mistakes until you faced an opponent who knew how to punish you for it.

Because some people don't like the stress of ranked

They aren't 'titans' they are human and people tend to take normals less seriously

As a player with multiple 8+ loss streaks (and no doubt more will eventually come xD) it is annoying when all your games seem to leave you at the disadvantage. But as much as it's frustrating, those bad match-ups give you lots of room to grow. When faced with a steep challenge, you're forced to innovate and sure up your weak points.

And soon enough your mmr will be adjusted and you will get better mach-ups. Just don't give up!

Theoretically speaking if u play infinite amount of games you'll reach the mmr you belong to. However, that system doesn't take the amount of sufferings we receive into account before that happens.

Best suggestion I have for riot is to take in-game performance into account as well when raising/lowering someone's mmr. That way it's faster for your mmr to drop when you get stomped, and vice versa.

Dang, so you're not plat/diamond level like the rest of the other low elo people stuck in silver/bronze on these boards?

Anyways, have fun playing against them, you're gonna learn a lot more than playing against a silver/bronze teemo main.

Just use norms to practice and get better. Playing against plats & diamonds regularly is a good thing. You will have to be a better player to go even / win and any mistakes you make will be more noticeable and punished. When you go against just silvers after getting used to that higher elo it'll be much easier.

I'm in Plastic XII and my last game was against a team consisting of 3 unrankeds (Last season unranked (66% win rate on 9 out of 10 promo games), Gold 5, Gold 3 respectively), Silver 3, Silver 5. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I like that my solo queue norms consistently give silver, golds, and the occasional plat. It'll improve my play in the long run.

The only issues that arise from it are the mind blowingly large egos and toxicity the golds / plats and former golds / plats have. They use rank as a excuse to be arrogant to the extent that they will just mindlessly bm and insult players even when they're being outperformed in all aspects (Objectives, Cs, KDA). There is no excuse for this at that elo. Toxic bronze & silvers acting in this manner can at least be excused for this behavior due to having no meaningful knowledge of the game. Golds and above should have the knowledge to see just how stupid they're being.
