Is ADC really that hard?

I'm a bronze. lets just get that out of the way.

If you're still here then thank you. I've trying to climb out of bronze for quite a while now, however one thing always stops me and drops me further than where I started. A BIG-ASS CHAIN of really bad bot lanes. I don't understand, I mean our opponents are also bronze so why is it so damn hard to just farm and not feed their ADC. 2 really good examples are my 2 recent games (my Rengar game and my Garen game). In these games they didn't start too bad I mean in the Garen one we started the game winning. But then suddenly our bot laners got double killed and the entire game is over. I understand bronzes are really aggressive but it can't be that hard to just farm then fight when you catch one of them out. What bugs me is that didn't even get ganked and still died. Is ADC really that hard?

ADC is the most mechanically intense role in LoL unless you are maybe playing Azir or something.

Also because the bot lane consists of twice as many people each of the 4 people has twice as many opportunities to catch out an opponent who makes a mistake, so bot lanes tend to be pretty bloody. On top of that having two people, one of whom is generally a cc bot means that snowballing is very easy as turret dives can easily be done without a jgler. On top of that ADCs don't have mobility and supports generally don't have escape mobility which makes the bot lane a great target for jglers especially since it comes with a free cc bot.

So bot lanes tend to go hard one way or the other, the way human brains are wired though means that 3 wins roughly equals one loss in our heads. That means that for every bot lane of ours that losses we need 3 bot lanes to win for it to balance out in our head because we are much more drastically affected by bad things than good ones.

The thing about ADCs, especially with modern masteries, is that pretty much anything can kill them if they get on top of them. The amount of times I've been able to beat up ADCs on my own as Braum just goes to show. You've got to win battles of attrition against things that can oneshot you, and your auto range tends to be their assassination range. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q-31JmWNvY

U are talking about early game and ADC,but u have to realize, its not ADC who wins bot lane. Its support. And most people in low elo dont wanna play support. So if its matchup "main support" vs "guy who picked support just so he doesnt have to wait in que", lane goes in "main support" favor.

It's more high risk high reward than current generation assassins imo.

Its pretty easy to play if you have a decent team who knows how to play with you. In lower elo its harder cause you can't really win the game alone as adc.

Mechanically is rather easy since most you have to do is rightclick people, funny thing is that champions like Tryndamere, Jax or Master Yi who also rightclick people are called "easy noob champs" on these boards but adcs rigthclicking you is considered hard apparently.

you just farm for 20mins then hover your mouse over the enemy and they die... it's not just a bronze thing botlanes usually make or lose games most of the time pretty much 50% of the game one of the two botlanes is gonna feed their ass off. that cause mostly because botlane needs synergy if you dont have synergy with your supp/adc lanes is over but you can at least have the dignity to afk farm and not try to make plays

I wouldn't say it's hard per say just that you have to consider a lot of things all at once. The best ADCs will walk the line between being close enough to be killed while dealing the most damage possible and surviving. You have to essentially know how a fight will play out before it starts, what each person's cooldown is on your team and the enemy's and whose going to peel for you on yours all while positioning well and properly hitting the opponent.

You're not tanky enough enough to survive hardly anything and you don't have the burst to just do quick damage and then leave. It's a very team dependent role in that you rely on someone to engage and someone to protect you which is why in bronze it can easily go very poorly.

I can play pretty much every role, but I really hate ADC. I don't like having to move my cursor that much for autos. I can move my mouse really well, enough that I can Kha double jump, but something about micro managing autos really puts me off.

No. All u gotta do is right click towers.

Difficulty is variable on matchup, supports, and ADC selection.

Some ADCs are easy to play and if you claim ADC is skillz while having some easy arsed matchup with a highly skilled support vs. a high skillcap enemy pair you hard counter, it makes you a jackass.

How to ADC in Bronze

  1. Become a Jhin main
  2. Have Jhin banned by the Plat smurf who looked up his team's match histories
  3. Pick Ashe with no regard for team comp
  4. Say "It's okay team, I'm Ashe. I may not get tons of kills, but at least I won't feed"
  5. Feed your ass off

if your playing vayne split pushing and 1v1ing a zed and winning adc is hard. if you're standing in the back line right clicking and just depending on your tanks to peel for you. its the easiest thing. its usually the latter.

i want to see an adc actually go and try to tough it out and team fight while not getting any help from teammates.

right clicking. isn't mechanically hard. again unless you're playing vayne and you have to utilize your mobility. but then again it reaches a point in the game where she kills you in three autos that take one second

not in the early game, I mean come on, you have a player dedicated to babysitting you and if that isn't enough you ask another player to babysit you, namely the jungler, so that's 2 babysitters for you

adc isn't that hard, you more than likely suck at it anyways.

Its hard enough that if you don't bother practicing you wont really be that good but youll still be good enough to win against other people like you.

Mechanically wise? Yeah. Having to play almost perfectly (eat some cc skillshot you're gonna have a very hard time) with much less room to move around is kinda tedious if anything.

Decisive wise? Not really. You can pretty much listen to your support and still make the most out of yourself.

Though a hard part is having to deal with your possibly bad/whiny/toxic supports, because you have to rely on them to some extent as well.
