I just want to say that after not playing for a month, the game's balance/meta does feel like it has actually improved very slightly. Melee frontliners seem somehow a decent bit more durable and some tanks Nautilus Amumu Sejuani have returned (though others TahmKench Alistar are still in the dumpster). I don't really love that tanks were brought back by mostly giving them more damage to compete, instead of giving them better durability. The item 1401 buff at least is only vs monsters and it does actually help tank junglers to become durable when they're not automatically falling behind, so that's actually pretty nice. I don't like how prevalent true damage still is (and how even more true damage has been added) and how high damage outputs are, but the game does feel somewhat better for me than it did a month ago.

I am also not very happy with how much Lissandra has been over-nerfed or how the frustration with Riven Vayne has been ignored for over a month as their ban rates continue to hold steady or increase. Oh well. It is necessary to take the bad with the good, and the good seems to have marginally outweighed the bad this last month, and that's worth encouraging so unsarcastically good job to Riot. Please continue your efforts to gradually fix this season. The positive progress hasn't gone unnoticed.

I think its hard to have champions like Vayne and Riven in a perfect state of balance, not because the are "high skill", but rather because there are a multitude of factors at play, I cant speak for Riven as I dont play her, but after the Recent Vayne buffs, she didnt go intantly to pick or ban, however as Crit fell out players found Rageblade ot work on her, letting her spike harder and earlier. With Lissanda, she came back into the meta following the Aftershock buffs, however Riot feels they cant nerf aftershock without damaging a lot more champions, so they nerf Sissandra and hope players figure out a way to beat it, in Pro Play long range casters such as Lux and Zoe came up where they can deal damage without getting in range to proc Aftershock.
