Hi there. I'm Inky Splaters, a Silver 4 Summoner that gets a sick kick out of seeing people rage. I've been thinking a lot about Fizz lately. His skins, his abilities, rage videos involving full tank Fizz, all that stuff. I played Fizz before and he seems like someone I would enjoy playing: Innocent-looking, annoying voice, a cottontail skin that makes him look like a sociopath. After losing to a Leblanc because that's fun, it got me wondering:

Can Fizz be Viable in Top lane? Get it? But anyway, can Fizz be helpful in top lane? I would usually be full AP anyway, but I still remember people building full tank Fizz awhile back at some point for Top lane. I don't want to play mid because: I play Top, ADC, and Support more than mid and jungle I don't want to be ganked from both sides THESE TWO EXIST! Yasuo Leblanc

So yeah. Can Fizz work as a top laner? Why or why not? And if not, are there any champions that are similar to Fizz that I can play in Top lane?

It was very viable before the assassin changes since the w dmg was off missing hp. But now it still works but its honesty weaker than mid. I would much rather play vs yasuo and lb than irelia or jax. And also since fizz is a roamer he needs to roam top or bot for kills. Fizz main btw.

You can technically do whatever you want, but I don't know if it's effective.

If I were to go Fizz Top, I would:

  1. Go Domination into Resolve with Electrocute as my keystone.

  2. Buy a core of item 3027 item 3078 item 3124 and then situational according to the enemy team.

Well, he does have a lot of gap closers to be functional on top lane, but I recommend seeing which match ups he is good against and weak against. There's a huge differ3nce between Fizz vs. Yorick and Fizz vs. Jax, for example.
