What if Akali's shroud expanded into a smoke ring?

The ability will start off the same; Akali throws her smoke bomb at the ground and create a bubble of invisibility for herself. However, the bubble will start to expand into a large donut shape, say with the radius of Trundle's W.

This opens up new avenues for Akali to outplay her opponents. Instead of sitting stationary in a bubble with the opponent knowing approximately where she is, hard countering targeted abilities but still getting hit by AOEs, the expanding donut shape would give her the ability to misdirect her opponents. Popping a smoke bomb and running with the smoke at a funny angle makes it difficult to predict where in the ring Akali may be. This gives her more outplay potential against AOEs and skillshots, or even opening up escape options for her instead of just giving her a small bubble where she might survive if somebody doesn't bombard it.

This added outplay potential also means we can carve away at a lot of Akali's stat sticking qualities. An actual escape tool means that her Spell Vamp doesn't need to be as high; she has more ways to survive a fight than just fighting straight through it. Depending on the execution, it also gives the enemy more windows to fight back. For example, if you're stuck in the middle of the donut, Akali would have to come out of the shrowd to finish you off. This doesn't change much if you're already losing or injured and/or Akali is out to assassinate you already, but especially if you have a kit dedicated to targeted abilities, this means potential to fight back against Akali other than just standing in her bubble and waiting for her to pop her head out of that tiny space.
