Mordekaiser's identity.

Old Mord was a large, lumbering, master of metal. Who's play style was about pushing his lane and punishing his opponent. since he had no cc or mobility, he was all about going all in all the time. He was a large armored man who carried a weapon that very few could even wield and mastered magics that even fewer have even heard of. His spells worked perfectly with this character. His Q mace of spades was him swinging it with insane force,if you were fortunate enough to have allies nearby it would cause the force of the blow to echo out towards them. His W was a swirl of metal shards to rend and tear anyone dumb enough to get near him. His E was a powerful spell that instantly caused spiky maces to erupt from the ground in a cone in front of him with just a simple flick of his wrist. And finally his R which was his way of showing you who's actually in charge by instantly draining a portion of your life force and using it to reinvigorate himself while also applying a dot to you that would drain your very essence and if you succumbed to this, you literally became his slave in your afterlife.

New mord looks exactly like old Mord. But lacks any of his actual physical or magical strength and should've never beeen called the master of metal since he can't play a solo (lane) anymore. His Q requires 3 swings for him to build up enough momentum to even use his mace to harm someone. His W requires his babysitter to be within hand holding range to even be cast, and within hugging distance for it to actually do damage to someone. His E is a big fancy looking fart cloud he wafts in your general direction and does about as much damage. (I want to point out that it is not as fast as his earlier version which is a very important thing.) And finally his R which is more or less the same but has the added affect of making sure he's never alone if he takes the dragon ghost gimmick.

In summary old Mord was a force to be reckoned with which made perfect sense since he's a massive necromancer general from the shadow isles who didn't need babysitter at his side but made sure that the enemy top or mid lane needed one. While new Mord can't do a thing on his own but maybe dual someone dumb enough to stand there long enough for this wimpy wannabe to build the momentum to hurt them. Tell me again how you kept his identity together with this rework?

I wanted to mention his passive separately since I feel it what makes Mord Mord besides his ult. It used to be an ingenious way of justifying him having health cost spells without overlapping into Vlad or Mundo territory. It was also what made him so fun to play. But now it's like hey we kept it on him but if you want it to be useful you had better build a ton of health. Like what is that? Was it because he had a better shield than one of your fan favorites? (Yasuo). Now it can't be counted on unless you could've already survived whatever was thrown at you which makes it pointless.

I would also like to mention Mord can no longer be played in any other game mode without being a troll pick.

If we can't get this rework REVERTED ENTIRELY, I at least want to see it tweaked, to take away some power from duo lane Morde and restore some power to solo lane Morde.

They may as well change Morde's model and his name for that matter because he is definitely not the "Master of Metal" anymore. No metal shards flying from his Q, no metal shards flying around you with his W, and his new E is straight up bad.

Sadly . . . spot on. His base stats were nerfed across the board, ontop of his abilities being next to powerless (with the sole exception of someone being afk for a full Q combo). Garen can do so much more than he can despite his rework, and is even a bully to some classical op champions like rivin, fiora, & xin zhau now. Darious lost even more fluidity than Mordekaiser, but both are unusable and no fun to play because of how clunky and situational they've become. Mordekaiser's only buff would be his auto-attack range, which is marginal since his base speed was lowered along with all of his durability stats, significantly; and these weaknesses are amplified when most games having startlingly high burst &/OR safely mobile champions (fizz, katarina, yasou, kalista, lucian, ekko; or most anyone in both categories except ahri & kassadin). I was hoping they'd give him more splash damage or at least some kind of crowd control (like a root or fear) as compensation; but instead they allow him an insanely conditional ultimate buff. Sure it's easy to bulldoze a tower with dragon, but once those 20 seconds expire, he's either insta-killed or kited to death without his entire team behind him.

I'm glad to see some teamwork integration, but forcing it is a terrible move. Making 1 skill utterly useless unless he's being babysat, which with his flaws increased, he practically needs to be. Part of why the above high-mobility/extreme-burst champions are so popular, is that they're easy to get kills with and live; moreso when the servers lag, and even if behind; because of their incredible damage scaling (ekko/yasou), or frustrating movement (fizz/kalista). All of which can and often carry the team by themselves because of these combined qualities; and usually require combined cc to take them down (which all 4 'juggernauts' had nerfed). Combining cc is the most difficult part about being a team, and with riot's increasing ignorance of the exponential toxicity, it's becoming impossible to do so; especially when everyone wants to just play for themselves, notably playing as one of the previously mentioned assassins (often by spamming chat).

Like you said, Mordekaiser has sadly become a troll pick; everyone either immediately dodges without penalty, or flames you all game for being a dead weight. Skarner is still a feast or famine champion, though amplified based on how good your team is with paying attention to the minimap. Garen has taken top by storm like when fiora first came onto the scene. And Darius has quickly been forgotten because he's become boring to play and even easier to be picked on. Mordekaiser has disappointingly become even less fun to play than imaginable, which is a shame to be added to the stack of 'beloved unplayables' (viegar, kassadin, gangplank, irelia, sona, xerath, sivir, nocturne, ext.).

The biggest F YOU riot gave us Mordekaiser mains is us having to stay around an ally to actually utilize our entire kit. It's just plain bad by design and it hurts so much to skip putting a point in in every time I level up in top... Also, why the hell is he still called the master of metal? You not only kicked him in his balls of steel by messing with his identity but also removed any trace of metal in his abilities. Where the hell is his icon shroud of metal shards?...
