Dominion's Fate
http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/features/retiring-dominion
As many of you are discovering or now know, Dominion is going to be removed Febuary 22nd, due to mostly a quote from the 2nd paragraph, as Copy-Pasted:
>"We want to support game modes delivering consistently engaging and competitive experiences. Fewer than 0.5% of players actively play Dominion and we’re aware some number of even that small population is still bots. We haven’t been supporting Dominion, and we’ve trapped ourselves in a vicious cycle where the queue isn’t large enough to warrant major attention, but falls prey to bugs and periods of imbalance from the introduction of new champs and items"
I Would like to put my thought in, even if insignificant, I would like to state first that I have not played Dominion in 3 years, but that does not deter my knowledge in the game mode. I know how the game works, because it has not been changed, or tuned accordingly balance-wise.
Secondly, I would like to address that I understand Riot's reasoning behind Retiring Dominion, but I do not agree with it. Within the past 5 years, Dominion has been very heavily ignored and this is a result, because Riot has not taken care of it because we have not played it. It is both of our faults in this case.
I do not accept the removal of a game mode, especially when it comes to Custom Games, where people use it as various community-made Game Modes, and has provided entertainment for a number of people.
This game mode, however, provides more item diversity to the game that most people do not see, along with Twisted Treeline and ARAM, they each have their specialties in items, but Dominion has probably the largest pool of items that are different from SR, and they have not been changed.
With the removal, I know that Riot will remove everything associating with it, but I would like to ask Riot of one thing, although large, I would still like to ask:
Don't remove the items, move them to Summoner's Rift.
Although absurd, I would like them in. as a memorial sort-of of Dominion, one of the balanced game modes I have experienced playing.
TL;DR: If Dominion is going to go, let us have the items in Summoner's Rift.
