Players that AFK in ranked games

So, today I lost out of my series due to an AFK player, again. It seems like EVERY time I touch my promos, there is a DC or and AFK player or some major malfunction with a player that keeps them from playing the game once we are actually in it. I'm bringing this up because I feel that there should be at least some sort of compensation for the losing team when it comes to having an inactive player in it. When you don't have an ADC, you are most likely going to lose. It really sucks and it's frustrating that someone can just join a ranked game and not play it and when you report them, odds are, nothing will happen. I was just curious if there is some sort of plan, or idea on how to make ranked games safer, or how to help compensate for inactivity of other players on your team. It's not fair to me that I have to lose my series because a stranger, didn't play his match, and I lose and have to work back up. You really should consider this, because I have talked to a large amount of players over the span of about three months on the topic, and it's pushing people to quit playing.
