The new Aatrox genuinly seems a bit broken

The only thing about him that I would call op is his q's, but god, his q's are stupid. It's almost impossible to dodge all of them and what I hate is that every single one deals the damage of a standard ability.

He can legit do 80% of your hp all throughout laning phase if he hits you with all his q's. And, if you're melee or otherwise immobile, he just crushes you. Trying to play Darius or Garen vs Aatrox is awful. Half the laning phase is just running around like an idiot, trying to not get hit. And his third q, the one that hits the hardest, is legit impossible to dodge. It is impossible to be in melee range and not get hit by it unless the Aatrox fucks up. And relying on the opponent to fuck up is not healthy gameplay.

It just feels so shitty to dodge his first two q's, then get hit by his third and still take the damage a standard ability would do. If i dodge two spells I feel like I should win the fight, not lose the fight, ya'know? Or am I just crazy? Should aatrox just auto-win every single fucking fight?

God, this champion is ridiciusly oppressive and unfun to play against.

As a person with like 100 games new Aatrox, I do think they could remove some power in lane.

If you get ahead of opponent, it seems a depressing lane for them.

That being said, his lvl 1 is one time to get an advantage on him.

His 20% healing from AD is the passive on his E, and most people take Q lvl 1, so will have zero sustain.

You probably wont kill him, but maybe get him down really low.

Now when he gets E at lvl 2, he has a choice.

He can stay low, and slowly regen from autos, meaning you can maybe go in for a kill.

Orrr he can just start spamming Q on the minion wave to quickly get full health, meaning he shoves wave, and is ripe for a lvl 3 gank.

I would like to point out however, even as a huge lane bully, the champ has weaknesses.

Even if you are fed mid-game, you still have a slow telegraphed kit.

You can never just pop out of a bush, and burst down a marksman in .2 seconds.

It just kinda sucks for the opponent, being bullied so hard in lane.

If they can not feed until mid/late game, Aatrox is nothing special in team-fights.

I would say his laning phase is broken, but rn thats the only thing going for him seeing as he basically REVERSE SCALES and gets somewhat useless. I havent really had a chance to fullbuild or get near to that as games appear to be ending quite early, possibly due to him getting weaker around midgame and not being able to do much with him. earlygame is really fun though but after the first tower getting destroyed you will feel the drop in power.

just a hint for the garen matchup.

you can run up to him for the first and second q, and fight him in melee range, since it wont do damage there. then silence him before he gets his third q off. it should drop off if im not mistaken. at the least it gives you enough time to walk away from him with the movement speed bonus. you can also parry any part of his q with your w.
