Ryze: Pro-play vs Solo Q Summer 2018 statistics

Currently in Summer LCK, NALCS, and EULCS:

LCK:

  • 36% presence; 16 picks/8 bans at 50% win rate

NALCS:

  • 10% presence; 1 pick/1ban at 100% win rate

EULCS:

  • 55% presence; 2 picks/9 bans at 50% win rate

Over all of S8

  • 76% presence; 904 picks/1027 bans at 46% win rate

Thoughts: It seems to be that Ryze's usefulness in pro-play is inflated by Riot. Yasuo of all champions has higher presence (52%) and a better win rate (56%) in every league currently in summer split. Ryze went from 84% presence in the Spring to 34% currently though I do understand we are in the middle of the season. I personally think Riot needs to stop promoting Ryze as an LCS type champion since the pros aren't playing him anymore.

Solo Q:

  • 1% ban rate, 3.35% pick rate at 44.15% win rate according to lolalytics.

  • .012% ban rate, 1.68% pick rate at 45.33% win rate according to champion.gg. Though I believe they only use a single region of data.

  • 2.7% ban rate, 10.2% "popularity" at 46.2% win rate according to league of graphs. I really don't understand what popularity is supposed to mean.

Thoughts: looking at those stats and the constant arguing over which build is better, the state of the game, and the current meta I feel like Ryze is constantly getting the short end of the stick however Riot refuses to do/say anything since he's exclusive for pro-play balancing. The argument from the community (not the Ryze community, the league community) is that Ryze becomes oppressive and OP when he is meta. Ryze hasn't been OP since his rework and they temporarily fixed him by increasing his root CD by 300% and make it to where it couldn't be reset AS WELL AS destroying the rest of his kit (besides Q I guess) and giving him a team teleport for the pro-players that really no one asked for. Maybe this is extremely biased but I'm sick of statistics PROVING that Ryze isn't doing well but Riot stands by watching Ryze while buffing Domination tree, adding more true damage for Hashinshin followers, and buffing assassins over and over again.
