No way, I've seen some crazy throws. Like one game we held out and the enemy team abruptly surrendered after like 45 minutes, even though all our inhibitors were down, we had only taken like one of their towers, and they were wrecking us in every team fight. That win had me laughing for a long time. No matter how bad you are losing always remember the possibility: maybe THE OTHER TEAM will surrender! It happened to me, lol.
Lots of times if you hold out until people get close to full build you can turn the game around completely. I have won in a 4v5 liked that before when our team had an afk the whole game, and people were toxic and dicks, we held out somehow though and the surrender vote got denied a few times, in the end we outscaled and outplayed the other team and kicked their ass, and had a good laugh about it afterwards, too. Because LoL is so heavy on the snowball mechanic, getting wrecked by the other team often doesn't actually mean they are better at the game; when you scale up to late game and are on equal footing sometimes you find out your team is actually much stronger (I mean you outplay them easily in team fights, of course sometimes your champions also scale better than theirs), you just got unlucky in the early stage and got snowballed on.
In another game (normal, blind draft, lol) we literally had this happen: two guys insisted to be jungler, they toxic at each other, both bring smite, then they both player jungle in our jungles, but SEPARATELY, not even together so they can at least help each other, lol, just starving each other of gold. Guess what else: in the same game we had two guys who insisted to play mid. They both insist to play mid and toxic at each other. WE HAD NO BOT PLAYER AT ALL, lol. So our bot was free for the other team to take, except once in a while one of our two junglers would go over and try to gank there and slow them down slightly. And I had top and was in a 2 v 1 for ten minutes, which I somehow managed to come out ahead on. GUESS WHAT? Then one of the two mids got over toxic and went afk after the first surrender vote failed. Sure after the first 15 minutes of the game we were down pretty hard, like 20 kills behind the other team, but a couple of us kept denying the surrender vote (lol) and it turned out our players were actually good skilled, eventually we caught up to the other team's snowball and won the match 4 v 5, even with two junglers who hate each other and won't play together, two mids one of whom goes afk, and no bot laners. LOL. We laughed so much at the end of that game.
Honestly, these are the games of LoL that I can look back on the most fondly.
I wonder what some other "biggest throws" stories people have? These games are so much fun. Please share.
