Windwall and Ultimates
I know Yasuo is always a divisive topic around here, but I'll try to keep this productive…
I was just playing against him as a few different ranged champs and kept thinking about my interactions with his windwall.
While playing as Nami, almost every time I would use my Q bubble, he would use WW and while it was annoying it's not that big of a deal because Q is on a short cooldown, so you both reposition and it's kind of a wash. But when it comes to using her ultimate, and having it completely absorbed by WW on a much shorter CD (like 100secs vs 18secs), that's a pretty frustrating trade.
While playing as Draven, it was slightly annoying to have to reposition as an adc, and it might not always be possible depending on the fight, but it's not usually going to make or break the game. But every time you use your ultimate (80sec cd) and it gets absorbed by the 18 second WW, it just feels really bad from a gameplay perspective.
Lastly, I played a few games as Vel'koz vs Yasuo, and the integrations were a lot more interesting and fulfilling. It's slightly frustrating when your Q and such get absorbed by his WW, but again, not that big of a deal. Meanwhile, since Vel's ultimate goes right through the WW (because it's a beam or something instead of a projectile) Yasuo had to think a lot more about our engagements since he couldn't just rely on WW to draw the ult out.
What do you think about the idea of allowing windwall to block projectiles EXCLUDING ULTIMATES?
I'm not really focused on how this would affect his "balance", because you can obviously add or remove power from other parts of a kit when big changes are made, but what do you think about it from a gameplay perspective to allow champions that rely heavily on ultimates to not just have them absorbed by a regular ability on an 18 sec CD?
There are other abilities than can absorb ultimates (spellshield, parry, etc) but windwall can potentially absorb and nullify all 5 ults on a team and be cast 5 times as often, which again, feels really bad from a gameplay perspective.
Thoughts?
s who ult into his windwall since he is techniquelly a projectile
