RE: Upcoming Nasus buffs.
Nasus Spirit Fire (E) Armor reduction changed from 20 to 15/20/25/30/35%
Fury of the Sands (R) Siphoning Strike (Q) now has a 50% reduced cooldown when Fury of the Sands is active.
These prospective buffs as are they were mentioned by Meddler yesterday. Let me first make myself clear and say that these buffs are a very welcome sight, for Nasus has been in need of some help for quite a while now.
That said, I think there's some room for discussion and --perhaps-- modification of the form of these buffs.
First, we have the E changes, from flat to % shred. No complaints from me there, though I have the sneaking suspicion that the numbers will prove inadequate. Instead all I have to suggest is a minor modernization, in the form of changing the debuff from being linked to standing in the AoE to being applied for 5 seconds to those hit by the initial burst of damage. Quite frankly, as mobility has crept onwards, the whole "debuffed whilst standing in the AoE" mechanic has become increasingly less relevant. So much so that at this point, we may as well get rid of it entirely.
Next, the Ult changes. The intention here is fairly clear: When doge pops R, not only does he get bigger and tankier and longer ranged, now he also starts actually doing deeps in addition to that basically meaningless AoE DoT. Now, I don't really disagree with the intent (though I question whether it will actually mean anything in the face of mobility creep and Nasus' fairly clunky animations) but I have reservations regarding where it's being placed. Nasus' ult is already a centerpiece of his fighting kit, and between the health and the resistances, quite a lot of his power is already loaded into it. If you really think he could use more damage, why not place it somewhere that's not already bulging at the seams, like his Base AD?
Anyways, that's just my two cents. Any thoughts, @Meddler; @ManWolfAxeBoss?
and
It seems like they have high access to armor pen namely
(if not just being built into their kit already.) and can wreck tanks, but
basically does fuck-all to tanks regardless of his stacks. A lot of the time in team fights, he has no access to the back line so he has to settle to hit the front line.
