So, about Shaco...
I main a few different champs, one of them being
, and I am a low diamond player, so I feel like I have at least a little authority to speak on the efficacy of Shaco as of the preseason patch.
NOTHING feels right about Shaco's reworking. From the extremely buggy thunderlord's proc, to the hilariously underwhelming Q, and the E that never seems to actually execute anyone as intended. It's all clunky and very not fun. Yes, the old Shaco was very stompy in lower elos due to his shenanagans, but once you start getting into plat+ elo, it definitely took a high understanding and skill to play him effectively.
Now he seems 'balanced' in lower elo play since people still don't know what to really do about him, but in higher elos, he's totally, utterly garbage. He can be outdone in damage by any and every meta pick, and the arguably main enjoyment of playing Shaco was his godly presence in the early game. Now he's a minor, much more visible annoyance on the map. This is only heightened by the fact that his toned down numbers is not complimented well by the jungle changes as unless he rushes Tiamat, you're clear is awful past the first go-round.
So, in summary, his jungle is rough, his damage is very underwhelming, and he is simply flat-out not fun and not the champion that people like myself grew to love and put so much effort in mastering.
Though, the illuminati boxes is appreciated as a funny joke, even though it never seemed useful.
try it. stop buying hydra. i know it hurts, but these items scale so much harder with new shaco. hydra is wasted item slot on him now.
