Helpful Tips For People Who Play Rank At Any Elo

I have currently 7 accounts, 4 being plat 5 70%+ winrate, 1 plat 1, 1 diamond 3, and this account which is Gold 1. Here are a few tips for any of you wanting to rank up.

1. Main up to 3 champions. This way if your team is all AD, you can pick an AP champion.

2. Focus on last hitting farm instead of harassing. Dont harass if the enemies creeps have less than 35% health, because you might lose that farm.

3. Use your abilities on harassing, and autos on farming. Never use abilities on farming unless youre forced to. It costs mana, and is harder to predict the damage using abilities than your autos. If you do use abilities for harassing because you got a Dorans Ring, or youre an ADC, make sure the enemy is getting hit by the ability as well when farming.

4. Dodge games where you have a Lee Sin or Master Yi on your team. I know this is going to trigger a lot of player, but these two champions cost so many games. You wont see good Lee Sins or Master Yis till late Diamond. Most Lee Sins in low elo just dont know how to play him at all. And there are two types of Master Yi players. The Master Yi that feeds all game, and the Master Yi that gets fed and tries to 1v5 the rest of the game throwing. Only on a rare occasion do you find a good Yi/Lee.

5. If the enemy is building a lot of health items, buy a Bork if youre an AD champ. Health is broken at the moment, and you need a Bork if the enemy is buying a lot of it.

6. Just, Focus, On, Farming. Dont group mid at the 16 minute mark, you want to farm as long as you can. You should be getting 10 cs a minute. Once you get 3-4 items (depending on how fed the enemy team is), then you want to group. If you take the enemies tower and the enemy starts roaming, push the lane and the follow them.

7. If you end up taking first blood tower as a mid laner before the 20 minute mark, roam bot. Bot determines almost all games atm due to autofill.

8. /mute all and mute pings. If you are relying on your team to send MIA pings, then you need to improve your map awareness. When you have communication and pings activated, it distracts you from farming. Someone will ping, you will look, a minion will die while you look, and so on.

9. Dont type in chat. Dont say stuff like "gj" "Nice" "K", same reasons as above. The only time you should be typing is if you back and are at fountain walking to lane.

10. If you get autofilled and youre bad at the role and you know it, just dodge. Yes this isnt gonna please a lot of people, but if you want to rank up its what you have to do. "Just learn the role". You cant just go from playing a laning champ 6 games in a row, to get autofilled bot/support/jungle. For 1, low elo players will get messed up the most by this. Because lets say they farm decent as a mid laner, they get autofilled support next game, come back mid and just start missing tons of cs. This happens to a lot of players in low elo, some dont realize it, but if you look up the the aftermath game of being autofilled, theyre down about 40 cs at the 15 minute mark than usual.
