My MMR is an utter mess.

I know the reason why it's completely screwed up and that's because I've lost too many games.

Went from winning 15-20 LP to receiving much less. I believe my last victory earned me 10-12 LP, which means that it's dropping and I'm losing more than winning. It sucks and I don't exactly know what to do unless I go on a large victory spree, which seems unlikely because I'm not capable of carrying, dynamic queue is unreliable and the people I have played with are partly to blame since they are of higher rank than me (low silver but higher, nonetheless).

Now, what would I have to do to fix my MMR?

Play with people of the same rank, below, above, etc. Winning streaks? That's not something I can control, sadly. Of course, "losing less" is an obvious answer but once again, not something I can control.

I am feeling more and more demotivated to keep trying to climb and if I now lose more LP than I win, I see no reason to continue. Self improvement can be found in other queues; I can play Draft Mode for the same effect since most people are serious when they play in that queue. I would like to achieve something more than Bronze but I don't think it's possible.

I am afraid to queue up with my friends in case I ruin my MMR further or cause them issues with their own MMR. I am afraid to play alone because dynamic queue is unreliable, AFKs are still an issue or people who seem to enjoy dying over and over again or completely ignoring words of advice, swallowing their pride and doing what's best for the team.

I don't want to say "carry me, please!" but in all honesty, I really don't see myself getting out of bronze. Maybe that's where I belong. I know that this mentality is toxic to myself and others but...mos of the time I have some rather decent games where I perform well enough but I can't carry or others can't keep up.

I may just give up on playing ranked, in all honesty. Maybe stick to blind pick just to have fun once in a while. I've been playing ranked for two months and I see no improvement besides climbing 2 ranks which is...embarrassing.

Honestly man - I started playing ranked far before I probably should have. Placed S5 in my initial placement. Dropped to B5 with 0 LP. Took all of season 5, but I finished S4/S5(going between them often for a while).

Only YOU can get yourself out. I have a sad 100 days spent on league in the past year and a half (Love getting laid off and going on EI...) and I spent most of that in bronze cause well - I sucked and ruined my MMR.

You need to find 2-3 champs that have decent kits and practice the shit out of them. ONLY play those champs and only in the roles they're meant for. Avoid the "OP" champs that get banned all the time cause well.. they get banned all the time. You wont get good at them if you can't play them competitively often and you wont do well with them if you do get them cause you haven't practiced.

Next, start a list of players who have AFK'd, Trolled, are just horrible (for more than one match). When you get into a game.. consult your list asap. If you haven't dodged a game that day it may be worth dodging to save your time and LP. Same goes for champ select when you see that your team comp is terrible and the enemy has a lot of power. Dodgerooni.

Mute toxic players in game. It helps.

If you start feeding - avoid fights, don't take risks, literally farm under turret and don't stand still - keep moving to avoid skillshots/poke. Don't try to hold a turret vs. 3-4 other champs.. they'll just kill you and take it anyway if they have anyone who can tank 2-3 turret shots.

The list of Do's and Do not's goes on infinitely and there are much better people out there to give you advice - this is how I got out of bronze with a BAD mmr. I'm back there now after placements but it only takes a handful of wins to get to series, so I should be back in silver soon; pending afks.

Good luck!

So couple things.

First you should really try to completely forget about the ranked ladder. Especially in its current state it in no way represents your skill as an individual player. In truth the season 6 ladder just shows you who group queues and who doesn't. Sure group queuing does not directly increase your chances of winning, but it does help. You might be on some form of voice chat with someone, but much more importantly... it reduces the likelihood of you having a baddie on your team. Someone who trolls or goes AFK.

Ranked league absolutely sucks for the first 2-3 months when a new season starts because all the good players never got thrown down into low silver and bronze, and they typically have at least a duo queue partner for the most part. Everyone else is thrown down the hole. So you have all the really terribles, the people who play with 800 ping, the trolls, and the AFK's all starting at around Bronze 2-5 for the most part. It takes a long time for these players to get back into Bronze 5 where they belong. Which means between now and then for the other 50% of league players we have to deal with an unusual high percentage of these players in our games. Depending on your luck this is a boost for you, for others it is a huge burden.

All I can say is to just keep playing. MMR is terrible by design. Ranked ladder is terrible by design... Both do not represent your skill at all. Just your Win/Loss which again as you are only responsible for 20%.

I only have a couple suggestions. First try to learn and play a hyper carry like Yi or Jax who has the potentially to greatly influence the outcome of games. Outside of that my only other suggestion is to find someone to play with who is close to your rank. Worst case you eliminated the odds of you having an AFK or troll on your team... unless that person is the culprit in which case you can find someone else.

Carry, carry, carry. Use cheese tactics or better yet, cheese champions. I am fond of Chogath, Shyvana , anyone that can really carry after earning 5k-6k gold. It's frustrating, because I'm in the same boat, but that's what has been working for me. I pulled out a 4v5 a few days ago with Cho'gath top. Utilize all knowledge you have of the game and apply it to your circumstances; anything is possible.

If you're getting games that are too hard for you to make a meaningful difference in, it means that game is above your current elo and you should lose. If you think your mmr is wrong, solo queue for about 40 games and it'll be where it belongs, even if it's lower than you'd like it to be. Practice up, ward well, pay attention to objectives.
