Wrong way to fix veigar

Event Horizon (E) range reverted to 700 from 750 [Note: Range is now back to current live values] Event Horizon (E) now (once again) stops dashes early. Veigar is one of my favorite champs and after the loss of dfg the little legend has been on a downward spiral, the champion was strong because he could RELIABLY nuke a champion. The Mage was in need of compensation for his loss of his main it DFG but rather gained a loss of reliability. The q change was decent because it allowed a faster way to reach late game stacks However the hit to his stun destroyed the character. The delay on an ability that requires an enemy to hit the very edges made it almost impossible to land and therefor in turn made his w almost impossible to land. The easiest way to balance him is to remove the delay from his stun entirely otherwise the only ability you are sure to land is ult and q if you can aim. In his current state he is a champion with two skills that will land. Rather than a buff to keep him viable veigar lost his core item two moves and a decent win rate.

Just pointing out, E for all intents and purposes already stops dashes early (rather, its supposed to; it was supposed to be in 5.5 but was pulled until 5.6 due to a last minute bug).

What he needs is reliability on his burst, that doesn't necessarily mean his E needs to be easy to hit, just that his W needs to be easier to land (which is something that has seemingly been recognized by riot; as evidenced by meddlers quote "We want him to still be a burst mage, but have failed in giving him the reliability to currently do so")

Are you saying give him back his instastun from before? Because that is a terrible idea.
