Kennen the lane bully

Why do people call Kennen a lane bully? He's one of the weakest champions in the entire game. His abilities do almost no damage, they can be safely ignored by almost any other champion. His ult is shut down easily or avoided by more than 80% of the roster. His abilities cost a rediculous amount of energy with his energy recovery being a total joke. And his cooldowns are all extremely long.

What other champion in this game is so weak that they actually get bullied by this underpowered, useless and outdated dead weight?

He use to beat people down with literally basic attacks only and deny any retaliation due to his 10s CD E and his passive stun while also outscaling them with Klepto.

Now however, with buffed Dorans helping with sustaining through his autos, Klepto being removed and solo XP being buffed so champions hit level 3 faster to retaliate sooner (take less basic attacks before 3 so they aren't as low by then), Kennen is no longer a big issue.

So yeah, he was a lane bully, not anymore.

Because he goes top to abuse the ranged vs. melee dynamic

This stems from a few years ago when it was very uncommon to see ranged champions taken into top lane. Kennen was one of the few exceptions to this as he was almost only played top.

Now that it is significantly more common for ranged champions to be played in the top lane, people generally have a better understanding of how to handle it.

Kennen will bully pretty much EVERY melee champion in top lane, at least for the first 2 levels (if that champ has instant gap closers in the base kit) , 6 levels if Kennen didn't do a good job of denying cs and they have a very strong all in ultimate, and longer than that if the champion happens to have no major cc resist or gap closing capabilities.

Just because he is a bully doesn't mean he is un-beatable, just that laning phase sucks since he will harass you constantly, cc you constantly if he is good, and make farming next to impossible if he has good wave management on top of that.

The only reason kennen sucks balls is because dorans shield was made broken.

That little shit rat was one of the worst, unfun, and nearly unbeatable lane bullies in the game for a majority of melee top players

I have found the AD kennen build to be a good situational pick. Especially versus Mundo or Maokai building Spirit Visage, there's no way you're gonna fight them building AP. Plus with Static Shiv it makes him a better split pusher.
