I asked this question on Reddit and people made arguments for. Kalista Kindred Diana Mordekaiser Maokai Brand Ryze TahmKench Gnar Varus

Personally I think it's a tossup between Kalista and Kindred

There are so many ways you could interpret "worst".

If you mean gameplay on a champ with an otherwise solid look: Nidalee You might say Ryze, but he shines where his ultimate is the strongest-- in competitive play. Nidalee, on the other hand, performs just as poorly as him across the board in addition to having no strengths that make her good for the pros. And unlike Ryze, whose current problem is a result of a two solid attempts to fix him, there has been no attempt to rework Nidalee since her mini-rework in 2014.

And it's sad because the only problem is so insanely simple but fixing it would cause her to be insanely strong. Her Q missile speed is just too slow. To the point that if you try to find any Nidalee guides what they all say is either only throw Q's from auto range or be prepared to miss most Q's until you memorize the dodge pattern of every opponent every game.

If you mean gameplay in how it relates to the champion's lore: Kindred For sure. The ultimate goes completely against the idea of the champion being their universe's Grim Reaper, and the facts that wolf is literally just a head and everything he does in game could just be more arrows go against the idea of them being two beings. There's no point in them being two if one has all the control in game.

If you mean the effect the champion has on pro play: LeeSin has never once been left out of a tournament. He's just too mechanically versatile for any kind of nerf to affect his performance.

If you mean the effect the champion has on items: Ezreal No other champion in the history of the game has been the direct or indirect cause of item changes as often as Ezreal, because his kit is too versatile in its scalings and interactions with items. He makes possible item combinations that wouldn't work on anyone else. Tear is the most relevant example, since no one else could've benefited from buying both items. Similarly, no one else was abusing Runeglaive the way he did at mid lane.

Whoever said Diana is delusional. Brand mid might suck, but he's basically a support atm. I think it's Ornn, and Mordekaiser out of the options listed.Volibear is also worth considering.
