Illaoi and her problems

Despite Illaoi's banrate and winrate i think her kit has simply too much counterplay built into it while her E ability offers near to none.

Issues:

  • The animation is simply too long on her W and on her ultimate.I am not sure how much time it takes for them to complete but her ulti can be canceled before she reaches the ground... On W i think there is a 0.25-0.75 sec time until it actually connects.Same goes for the ultimate.It's really annoying. And with that it's possible to cancel the first hit from tentacles if you cast W too fast after you grabbed somebody with E...

  • With that said her normal tentacles swing simply too slowly and it's too easy to avoid the hit from them.The animation on them is simply too long. Sure all of these fit just right into her kit lorewise and thematically but gameplay wise it gives too much breathing room for the opponent.

  • Her E(Test of Spirit) late game can result in a won or lost objective simply because of the %percent damage it channels.And the scaling is a bit too much too.The damage can go up easily to at least 50% lategame. However after being cursed the tentacles serve not too much purpose as it's really easy to eliminate them especially after laning phase.Also it gives them FREE gold. But in laning phase however getting a grab with E agaisnt a good opponent is near impossible as it can be blocked by pretty much anything. This spell should be about the utility and less about the raw damage in my opinion.Though not sure what could be done to his spell to achieve this.Probably upon being hit by the grab it applies an initial slow the decays over 2 sec and if the tether is severed then it would apply the same slow as now.

However despite all of these since her Q is maxed first and has a REALLY high damage AND scaling these weaknesses in her kit aren't that obvious and some of them might be actually overshadowed.But that doesn't mean these problems don't exist. First of all her damage on her Q needs to be reduced and then her kit can be sped up by making her animations shorter.
