Xin does take skill

Ive been playing Xin Zhao for a while now. I love him, ive gotten plenty of s's playing him. However after a some of those matches people always criticize Xin on how much skill he doesnt take. Now xin is a really simple champion, ill give you that. His kit is very straight forward and doesnt take that much to figure out. But Xin does require SOME skill if you want to be productive with him. Ganks, Team fights all those require a little bit of thinking b4 you just charge in with e and activate q and w. Every champ requires skill. I cant go into a ranked match and win with no skill involved at all. Idk it just makes me feel like all that work and all those plays were nothing. What do you guys think?

Xin is not a mechanically intense champion, but he does require good decision making. Once he goes in, he's in. There's not a lot of ways he can disengage and escape if the fight was a mistake.

In that way, Xin requires more decision making skill than champs like LeBlanc, Ekko, and Zed do.

He takes skills but not as much as other champions. Essentially the majority of the skill required is having good decision making and where to be and when to go in. That suits the champion just fine though, he pays for it with his lack of flexibility - you know how a xin is going to attack you every time he charges in.

I don't really play xin much anymore since I find him difficult. Yea his kit is pretty straight forward, but he is really easy to kite. And once he is behind he gets shit on pretty hard.

I think xin falls under easy to play, hard to master. Knowing when to ult and when to initiate and making his kit the most useful. So sure he is easy to play, but I've played a lot of him and still learn new stuff to do with him, so he definitely does take some skill to master. And really most champions are this way. I mean honestly there are very few champs that are easy to master.

Many people don't know the difference between mechanical skill and decision-making/judgement.

It's kind of sad, but I just tend to laugh at them.

I think when people say that, they're just referring to mechanics, because decision-making applies to almost every champion.

Who cares if he's simple, he is effective and does what he's supposed to do. People that say that just because he's point and click. Just say to them, well guess what fool you just lost because you couldn't land your skill shot on me . wassup now

In my main account, I'm a shameless one-trick Xin Zhao main on the bare edges of Master Tier (or Diamond 1/2 because at any given moment I'll probably tilt and drop back) and I can tell you that while Xin Zhao's skill ceiling is actually slightly higher than you'd think, it's decision-making that will really carry you up the ladder. I mean, yes mechanically, I would probably destroy a Xin Zhao in Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum, but past that, I would garner to think that there are Xin Zhao players better than me mechanically who are currently sitting in Diamond 3 and below. I didn't climb to Master because I'm a Xin Zhao god, I climbed because I made better decisions than my enemies.

Indoody. Twisted Fate is a binary champion, yet he's still incredibly difficult. There's a lot more to a champion's difficulty than "lel i can dash an hasaki"

A tool is only as complicated as the job you perform with it. A pencil is just a pencil until you are writing the paper that will change your life
