BRING BACK TEAM BUILDER [or the recent variation]

What is this bull of getting rid of a queue where people can choose the lane they want/see what people are looking for? I stopped playing for about a year just because of the annoyance of fighting over positions in draft or blind. Team builder and it's recent variation were the best thing to every hit this game.

p.s. I have a busy life and rarely read patches and other literature. If someone knows something I don't, please set my mind at ease!
