Literally just lost a game because of minion block...

I was playing a game as Yi where the enemy Veigar got fed very early. He ended the game 24/2 or something, don't remember exactly. My team wanted to FF until the 30 minute mark, but I kept encouraging them to keep playing. Once I got Guinsoo's Rageblade, I started to splitpush. 2 people came to stop me and I killed them both, and my team got another kill elsewhere. Respawn timers were 40 seconds or so at this point, and I was at their inhibitor, so I pushed to win. I took down one nexus turret, then the other one, and now there was only 1 thing between me and my victory.

The GODDAMN MINION WAVE.

I clicked on the nexus. The enemy team was respawning in 7 seconds. I tried hopelessly to weave my way through the giant minion wave, but it was no use. My flash came back up when there were 5 seconds left. I flashed next to the nexus and started hitting it, unfortunately the enemy Veigar came up in time and oneshot me when the nexus had about 4-5 hits left.

An opportunity came up later when the enemy Veigar was recalling and I had snuck into the jungle near their base. The rest of the enemy team had just finished taking the Elder Dragon and were heading botlane for some reason. None of them were backing, and only Veigar could stop me. I told my team to stop his recall when I saw him channeling it, wanting to end the game before anyone could react.

Unfortunately, my team didn't react in time, so I had to back off. There were no more opportunities to end the game, and I died to the enemy Renekton in their final push to end the game.

Can we please remove minion block already? It's incredibly inconsistent, buggy as hell, incredibly frustrating for both teams, and it doesn't add a damn thing to the game.

The outcome of a game was decided because I could not hit the open enemy nexus when I was less than 500 units away from it. My team would 100% have won if this hadn't happened.

Is this healthy for the game?

Minions are not structures.. are they?

If they are, could it please be made a bit more clear?
