Support Rumble

I've tried it twice now and the first game was against a Kat/Cait lane with Sivir as my adc which we won by a landslide. Rumbles E is great at harassing while your adc farms because even at level 1 you can do large enough damage to force them to back or risk death. Game 2 was against a Thresh/Kalista lane. With Kalista or any other high mobility champion it is harder to harass, but we were still able to crush our lane.

I just want to know what people think about Rumble as a support, and before you start flaming saying just play a real support. In normals and even low elo ranked games you should never try to be too serious and have fun playing.

I have no idea, I've never fought one. I just think that me on my annie would beat it, or me on jinx/graves would beat it. Then again I'm not bot lane master nor do i know viablity of a champion in the bot lane. Viablitiy also is reliant on the match-up as well as elo and the enemy's general skill as well as yours. So many factors. If it works for you, go for it just don't take it into ranked without superior knowledge and tons of testing to be sure you are confident in most match-ups and being partnered with most ADCs. Other then that enjoy your time on the rift with Rumble support.

all of the off meta supports, are generally just kill lanes, and you guys plan on just snowballing out of control. its not that they work, its that you cheesed them and it just so happened to work this time because they didn't know how to handle it.

Each time I do Rumble support, I end up with all the kills and my ADC ends up being my support. I prefer doing Rumble APC with a good support by my side if I were to take him botlane. We win the lane 90% of the time. As long as you have an adc somewhere else like top or mid, you will be fine for late game.

Theoretically, support Rumble has a lot of interesting value because of 2 things:

  1. strong, ranged, and manaless harass with his E
  2. Equalizer for early game teamfights, especially around dragon. Even when Rumble was played in the top lane in competitive and got shut down in the early game he was often still able to offer tons of damage with his Equalizer if he roamed for dragon fights, and support Rumble would probably be similar in function, except you actually have Rumble by your bot lane.

That said, I don't know for sure how it would play out since I don't play, but it is definitely an interesting idea, and I like seeing these kinds of interesting ideas in action.

Mages are usually good at support for their poke and cc.

Draven and Darius bot ( before Draven's nerf ) would just dominate by bleeding the enemy team to death. They still can dominate and they're determined to execute you.
