Graves and empowered attacks

So i honestly don't know the answer to this, but how does the new work with empowered auto attacks? Like if Sona or Nami gives him a boost does it only trigger off one of the bullets? Does it trigger off all 4-10? Is it split between the shots? Does anyone know the answer to this, it's been bothering me for a little while now.
