A shortcut to zoom the minimap

I got the thought a few games ago that what if I wanna ping more accurately on the minimap or just in general look at what is happening in more detail but not needing it to be so big that it covers the screen the whole time that I play. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a shortcut that we could either toggle or hold to see a bigger version of the minimap or just zoom it in (possibly be able to change the zoom amout). Just a random thought of a small feature. Also my first time posting on these boards so I guess that's something.
