I think I might have a solution...
Ever since S2 I've always built Wukong off-tank with lifesteal or armor penetration.
My original go to build was

(old GA that gave 40 mr/armor). This build was used against teams with assassins, hypercarries and DPS tanks like
or dealing with a certain champ with high sustain

My alternate build was for tank heavy teams which consisted of

Those builds worked for about 3 - 4 seasons, but I seemed to have hit a wall. I've recently posted a topic titled "Wukong Not Important to RIOT" https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/srGM9uqY-wukong-not-important-to-riot and https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/4NFafoEa-what-happened-to-my-rank implying Wukong has fallen off (not wanting full accountability to fall on me lol)
Then I did some research and see that Wukong is actually sitting at a healthy win rate, KDA and pick rate as a glass cannon focusing on lethality/armor pen with one or two of these items thrown somewhere in the build
if surviving is an issue. The core build items being

which of course is only used against tanky enemy compositions.
My runes have always been right ( I don't remember my old masteries) but my current masteries of 18/0/12 are all the way wrong. Apparently I should be running 12/18/0 TLD which fits into the whole assassin/lethality theme.
So I'll be using this new Wukong build to see if I can turn my luck around and get back to my former glory. I always wanted to stay away from glass Wukong simply because it's not healthy for him to be spinning in the middle of 5 champions for 4 seconds without a decent amount of health/armor/mr... but I'll give it a shot.
