Braum V Yasuo, a discussion on sheilds.
so, i have a decent number of games logged on both
and i was wanting to know the ins and outs behind the thoughts into both projectile blocking abilities!
for comparison

- ability can be re positioned
- blocks full damage of first projectile from direction the ability is facing
- all subsequent projectiles from direction ability is facing hit caster for mitigated damage
- intercepted CC is transferred to caster
- caster ignores unit collision while active
- caster gains 10% movement speed while active
- duration 3 seconds scaling to 4 seconds

- placed flat 400 distance in target direction
- flat 3.75 second duration after a .25 second placement time for a total up-time of 4 seconds
- increasing width from 300-500
- blocks All projectiles coming from All directions that pass through it {except bugged projectiles} with no damage transferred to caster
- grants vision in location of placement
now I'm not here to ask for more Nerf to
, because i think
is an awesome champ, but I'm curious about a few things in comparison.
- why is
s starting duration on one of his less defining abilities as a playmaker longer than
s main defining ability as a support? - why does
wall size scale, while
does not? - why does CC that hits
's sheild affect him, while CC that hits
's wall get deleted? - why do abilities coming from behind
's ability get intercepted whilst
's do not? - why do collision effects such as mundo cleaver/ leona zenith blade effect
, while are not triggered on
's - why does
sheild get intercepted by
, but not
all i want is answers, not nerfs, not changes, but answers.
spellsheild, i'm not saying take it that far, but as a squishy, does that give him the right to have a 4 second placed version of it at level 1? "although no good yas is starting W i'm talking 1 point in it." it's probobly the main reason that most people find him cancerous to play against because of its duration at early levels. why doesnt it start at a lower duration like braum's when it would be just as situationally effective at 2 seconds scaling up to 4.
