Any suggestion on who to main?

I don't recommend trying to main what others tell you to. You have to find what you enjoy the most if you intend on having fun with the game, not just what's good (especially since what's good is highly subject to balance changes and meta shifts).

Just keep trying out new things and give everything a fair shot (if at first you don't succeed, try try again) and you'll find what resonates with you the most eventually.

I'm on my phone so I can't use the icons the easy way and I don't feel like looking up ID's But I recommend finding the role or fantasy you enjoy/excell at, before looking for a champ. So first decide do you want to tank, dive, assassin, healer, enchanter, marksman, mage or teemo

List of things to look for when picking a main in order:

1. A champ you enjoy/have fun with/ a personality u identify with/like

2. Pick/ban rates for your elo (nothing sucks more than say being a yasuo one trick in bronze ish elo to have him banned all the time)

3. Skill cap for said champ. You want someone where playing the champ over and over rewards you for ur time invested (ie air zed, riven)

I find I have the most fun with kled, teemo, gangplank, tahm kench, but like others have said only u can determine who is fun for u

Is there any particular role you like to play? Or class type? That'd help narrow it down to some suggestions. Ultimately you'll have to find out what your main will be, and just remember that that choice doesn't necessarily have to stick. When I started playing I used to main Soraka until I discovered Nami and figured she's also an enchanter but more fun to play.

Role: mid, Jg Class: Anyclass is fine

I'm going to assume you're newer, so if you like playing mid I'd reccomend Annie. She's really forgiving as you use your Q ability to CS and it'll refund you mana if it's a successful hit. As you become more experienced though you'd probably want to find better picks, because while guys like Annie Bot can make it work, not everyone's going to be super successful at her once you go past a certain elo. When I have to mid I usually pick Morgana as she may not do that much damage, but she has tons of useful abilities you can use, and if you play her right you're basically gank-proof. There's also many assassins like that can be played mid, but I suck at playing them so I couldn't really tell you if they're good or not.

If you go down the mage route and end up liking something like etc. and you want your secondary role to be JG, then I'd recommend Fiddlesticks as he builds AP and will probably be easier for you to pick up if you like playing mages. I've heard he might be getting a VGU soon (basically changing his look and some of his abilities around) but even then I'd recommend him, because if you've seen it through to get good at him there's a good chance you'll play him even after his update. I used to feel like I couldn't play Taric after his VGU, but (relatively speaking anyways) I'm not all that bad at new Taric after playing him enough.

I really think Riot should allow all champs to be unlocked in practice mode for this purpose though. It'd be less of a deliberation to go through if people could just hop on a champ they might like and see if they really want to main them or not.

My suggestion is, try them all. Go through and play a bunch of different champions (free to play), play them a few times. See what makes you happy and what doesn't. Do you like being close combat (melee)? Do you like poking from afar (ranged)? Do you like burst abilities like assassins or sustained damaged over time. It's honestly just finding something that meshes well with you as a person and then playing that champion until you hate them.

I personally like to do burst damage but also from a distance. So I like mages. I play champions like orianna/syndra/ap ez when I have the chance because they are fun to play for me. However, I know people that hate these champions and prefer champs I dislike such as darius, rengar, or renekton. ^.^ Since you're leveling just play the free to play champs, and if you like them enough buy them when you have the ip for them. :)
