Why does Riot want Dynamic Queue when it isn't working?

They have had their head stuck up in their asses for this long and still doesn't want to scrap this queue that is hated by a lot of people. In order for their game to succeed they need to stop catering to 1 group of people but instead listen to the community as a whole.

I assume there's a bigger reason for it honestly. With how Riot has said they want a "Battle.net" app for all their games down the line, makes sense that they'd want people to be able to play with friends in any of their games including this one. I think it's a move for the future rather that the present. I'll still play, but I just dislike the system and have alot less fun sadly:( It's like they took League from a 10 to a 6-7 or something. Plus they can say it's made more for the jam packed low elos or they want it to play more like a team game, but no one in this elo will ever learn how to play like a team even with their friends. It's just allowed people to run around chasing kills alot easier is all...they're just promoting clown fiestas lol.

Your assuming that the small vocal minority represents the millions and millions of players not complaining. Your only hearing from the people who are. Stop making assumptions that everyone hates it.

They don't really care. They've spent millions of dollars, hundreds of man hours and this entire season pushing DQ. They will. NEVER get rid of it.

It's not about not listening. It's about a business decision. Can they go to their board and saY oooops we wasted millions and it didn't work. Let's ditch it and bring back the old system. NO they can't cuz people would get fired for throwing away millions. Therefore they gotta lie n make up random stats to show their bosses that everyone loves DQ and it's a huge success.

Right now, Riot will continue to anger players with their "We're finding ways to fix this!" and "We're fixing it!" excuses.

The problem here is that while Riot claims they will somehow fix DQ, they never say HOW they are going to do it. I've seen many players give rather good suggestions on the matter, but they were left under the rug.

It took like what? 3-4 months before they decided that implementing "Solo Badges" would help somehow. That really puts players questioning Riot's priorities on the matter.

I'd say there are 3 possibilities:

  1. Their stats say that it is working. People are always complaining about manipulated/false stats, but I don't think they are using false stats themselves. If their stats say that DQ is indeed a failure, they wouldn't go on with it (they are not that stupid).

  2. It is not working perfectly right now, but it's not a complete failure and they think it's worth it in the long term.

  3. Riot is deliberately trying to destroy their only game, which they rely upon for all of their revenue. This one is pretty unlikely.

I think it's a mix between 1 and 2. DQ is probably not a complete failure (if they lost a significant amount of players because of it they wouldn't go on with it), and they also admitted themselves that it's far from perfect. But I want everyone here to remember one thing: though they haven't done everything perfect, Riot isn't a complete bunch of headless chickens running around either. They are a extremely successful and big company where decisions aren't taken lightly. When they make such a big decision, they probably have some very good reasons for it (no, they aren't doing this just to piss off solo players or to destroy the game).
