I hate having to stick with 1 meta

The title says it all, every patch I feel more and more limited. to either getting the same 6 items every game, to the same rune page every game. There is no champion diversity, I can't build what I want because going off meta is basically a reportable offense and you just get flamed all game because of it. I hate having to go against a champion like leo support where I have to build an off meta item very early in the game to contest her (Merc skim), but I will be so far behind enemy ADC just outdamages me so it is still a lose/lose. well, thats my 2 cents, I'm just not having fun with league because I can't do what I want to anymore, let me know what you think about this topic.
