Irelia rework concept (Beware, the ramblings of madmen)

Well, this is kinda the brain child of a friend of mine, I have no idea what compelled this other than how bland her current kit is and how absurd it can be. The idea behind this is to shift her power around and make it so that she has windows of engagement instead of being able to just go to town on whoever she wants whenever she wants. Her current kit also offers little in the way of counter play apart from itemization (Mainly Frozen heart) or just not fighting her.

The main purpose of the rework was to make her kit with more build paths, but also more counterplay. We've tested with build paths that would work WITH AP!! So cool, but we've also made sure that we didn't hurt hybrid builds for Irelia (Or the beloved Trinity force into tank build!). It was hilarious how we tested numbers and damages for every build. For example her new E went through a bunch of iterations before making it what it is now. In addition, we've made it so her "new QSS" is now a one trick pony instead of a passive so people can fight her AT THE RIGHT TIME (and now more than one at a time!) Overall, stat changes, new abilities, and fun builds you can try out. (If it ever comes out..)

So yeah, without any more babbling of someone who is potentially sleep deprived and pepped up on too much caffeine THE REWORK! (Also, input, it helps. So shoot your ideas as we wanna hear how you guys think it is!)

Passive: Hiten Style After casting an ability Irelia gains a brief burst of lifesteal for 6 seconds Granting 10/15/25/35% lifesteal This effect has a 10 second cool down after the end of its duration before it can be activated again.

Q: Bladesurge Dashes to a targeted area, dealing damage in an aoe and slowing all in the cone. Killing a minion refunds half of the spells cd and half of its mana cost, Refunds the full cd and full mana cost on champion kill. Damage: 61/71/81/91/101 + .65 bonus ad Slow: 12/19/26/33/40% for .5/1/1.5/2/2.5 seconds Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12 Mana cost: 60 @ all ranks (Has an indicator showing its cone.) Dash range: 425 units AOE of slow: 60long 130wide units

W: Ionian's Might Bonus attack speed passive :30/35/40/45/50% Active: Her Ionian armor shines removing all crowd control on Irelia. If crowd control is removed this way, it grants her double the attack speed and refunds 6 seconds on ionian's might.

Cooldown: 36/36/36/36/36 Mana:100/92/84/76/68

E: Ascendants blades Passively collects spiritual energies to manifest into a razor sharp blade. Actively this ability with deal damage based on the number of spirit charges collected along with a base damage. Discharges all charges in a single volly Spirit charges: 4 Base damage: 40/65/80/95/110 (magic damage) Charge additional damage: 60% (+3%/65ap) Charge generation time: 1 charge every 5 seconds Skillshot width: 30 units Shillshot range: 400 units Cooldown: 8 seconds Mana cost: 45

R: Spearhead of freedom Passive: Every third autoattack does a portion of her foes current hit points as bonus true damage.

Active: Creates a barrier of blades before her dashing in a targeted direction. Each foe struck is impaled and shoved backwards, if they strike a piece of terrain they are impaled on it, being stunned for a time. Also grants her a brief burst of movement speed. Has an indicator as to its direction.

Damage: 90/140/190+ 0.55 ap + 0.3 ad as physical damage Cooldown: 150/130/110 seconds Stun duration: 1/1.5/2 seconds Passive damage: 8/12/16% Movement speed buff: 40% for 4/5/6 seconds Cast-time: 0.25 Mana cost: 100 Displacement range: 140/220/300 units Dash range: 200 units

Attack damage: 58.544 (Scaling is the same) Base hp (Lvl 1): 582.2 (Scaling +85.7) Mana regen: 9.3 (+.75 per level) Attack speed: .601 (+2.395%) Armor: 28 (Scaling is the same) Magic resist: 30 (Scaling is the same)

(Updated W mana cost, giving incentive to leveling it up long with a scaling attack speed buff now, as well as lowered the amount of autos to get her ulties passive proc)

With this kit, Irelia is not going to value that 30% attack speed until level 6, and even then not that much.

I think Q could use a longer duration. Why not just make it 1/1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds, but have it decay over the duration?

Also consider other champions with super long CDs on their base abilities (Master Yi's heal and Ashe's Hawkshot). Long CD base abilities lead to very unsatisfying experiences for the player.

Also a 3 mana cost reduction per rank is not enough level up incentive.
