On Suggested Cho'Gath Changes for 7.14
It looks like a really good change for the concept of Cho'Gath as a juggernaut. It is a nice change to see his Vorpal Spikes have a meaningful interaction when in combat. There are a couple of things that concern me, given some of the issues Cho'Gath faces especially early game:
-
Last hitting as Cho'Gath is a really big pain-in-the-ass, especially if Vorpal Spikes is going to be an active now rather than a passive. Good news is that Cho will push lane a bit less, but I'm pretty sure his CS will suffer pretty significantly.
-
Giving it a mana cost is understandable, but can you PLEASE address his pre-6 mana pool? If you are going through with the 30 mana per cast on Vorpal Spikes, please throw in an increase in mana pool so his rupture doesn't bankrupt his mana in 2.5 casts.
Other than that, super excited to see these changes go through. It will give Cho a bit more dueling power rather than "oh, I've blown my entire combo and my ult is down...I'm dead."
Keep up the great work Riot!
