Can Cass W poison last after target has left the W zone?

I just tried Cass again after the new patch and while she got some buffs, it still feels to easy for targets to leave her W zone unless I get rylies. Would it be op if the poison and grounded effect lasted 2 seconds after target left the W zone?

It feel like I'm lucky to land one E once my W connects.
