Questions for people who play nidalee, or know her

I'm really trying to get to know nidalee and i reviewed her champion spotlight but there are some questions i have that weren't answered. Mainly about Nidalee's cougar form. When I'm in cougar i W (pounce) on them first E then Q but sometimes when i do this quickly, the Q or the E does extra damage (I'm not talking about if they are hunted) But it looks like a light version repeated your combo. So when does that occur? And if you dont understand that very well, Its the same thing with regular Pounce, If i pounce then basic right after it does extra damage and it looks like a yellowish light version of her comes and basic as well, but sometime it doesnt
