Potential solution(s) for the ARAM-Ban Discussion

Tl;Dr: Make the ban System in Aram similliar to the reroll System with small changes for some "Balance" (e.g. One Ban every 2-3 Games) or let it ban you 1 Champion from the last/a recent game you had.

Since everybody seems to discuss about bans in Aram or complains about bans being gone, I thought i should share my Idea/s for a/some new Aram ban sytem/s.

  1. Make it similliar to the reroll system I think im right if I say, that everybody get bored of playing against [Insert strong ARAM Champ here] for 3 times in a row while ending up with [Insert not so strong ARAM Champ here]. Since the chance of this happening usally rises the more games of ARAM you play (Well... according to Mathematics) you should get to ban a champ for each 2/3/4 games played (I think 1 game would be way too much and everything about 5 games not enough) and make it stack infinitly or atlest 3-4 times. E.g.: Played 16 games without banning anything? Well you have a total of [8/5/4] Bans now! _Conclusion: _ +Gives you a ban while still having the chance to play something like Brand or Sona. +Works for ARAM Casuals and ARAM mains +/- Makes the Pronlen slighty better (doesn't fix it completly tho) -Probably hard to code

  2. Let Players ban a champ the recently played against My second Idea would be a ban systems, that gives you the opportunity to ban a champion you played against recently(In Aram of course) or last game. It would help to reduce the frustation of having to play against a certain Champion multiple times in a row and still keep every Champ in ARAM since you can't ban the same Champ twice. This Solution is focused on giving everybody a chance to play as a usally permabanned ARAM Champ (eg. Literally any teamfight aoe Mage) while giving others the chance to ban these Champs after they played against that one Vel'Koz only Account. Conclusion: +Gives you a ban while still having the chance to play something like Brand or Sona. +Works for ARAM Casuals and ARAM mains -Hard to code (probably harder than example 1)

You may ask:,"Hey Dude, aren't these the same pro's and Con's?" and yes they are. But they're still different from each other when it comes to the frequency and efficency of the Bans

Well i guess thats all i have to say for now and these are my main thought. Let me know your thougts and maybe some Feedback since this is my first "real" discoussion in Gameplay

If you don't want to write your thoughts you dont need you, since i'll make a small Poll down here.

Stay positive my friends and have a nice day ~Jan Nasus

I think it's needlessly overcomplicating the problem. The more effort the solution requires of players, the more casuals will push back against it. It's not just "I want to play my favorite champs," but also "I just want to get into game."

Rather than being a new issue, this recent banning discussion is simply an extension of the same problem that ARAM's suffered from for years: there's too many conflicting perspectives being forced together into ARAM's singular queue. A Ranked ARAM queue is long overdue. Casuals would get to enjoy an explicitly casual queue with minimal complications. Competitive players would get the balancing features they've been asking for (e.g. bans, full champ roster) and have their skill/dedication recognized. Everyone benefits.

On a side note, while there'd almost certainly be safeguards preventing it, it'd be hilarious if, under the first proposed ban system, someone grinded out enough games to ban all but one champ. One for All: Mirror Mode, Karthus only. Let's go hour-long ARAM games!
