Why can't Braum's shield stop Nautilus's ult?
Yesterday I was playing as Braum against an enemy support Nautilus when I had to find out that I can't block his ultimate from reaching my carry. If Naut's ult is not a projectile then what is it?

like vi's ult, it cant be stopped. its one of those ults you know... it goes through ground not a projectile
Nautilus's ultimate is a series of "rise up from the ground" attacks, each of which doesn't travel. As players, we connect the dots and see it as a projectile, but neither the target selection nor the damage is actually a projectile.
It's not a projectile. It has no travel time.
What it does is set off a set of delayed AoE blasts traveling towards the target, each one traveling further to give the feeling of acceleration. But there is no actual projectile between the blasts, so it doesn't get blocked.
it's a targeted ability that basically says 'i'm going to hit you with this in time' but it's not coded as a projectile.
Yasuo windwall stops it so who knows.
It's not a projectile.
It's not a projectile, it comes up from the ground
Why can Braum's shield block Nami Aqua Prison?
Because it's based on how the abilities are coded not on how they appear, and so doesn't have fully consistent logic. Things that go over it are blocked, but things that go under out aren't.
it's an underground/underwater pulse / torpedo-like assault
it's like Xerath's Q and velkoz's line thing, they erupt from underneath the ground
Does Braum's shield stop Rek'sai from tunneling under him?
"STAND BEHIND BRAUM!" dead
