I think a great addition to the game, that would be just kinda a nice little helper, not a Huge gamechanger except in some cases, would be to make it so when your champion enters combat/gets within a certain range of an enemy champion, the chat box would automatically close.

Reasoning: Ever been typing a message to your team then get rushed in the jungle and are spamming buttons in reaction, but instead those buttons being pressed are being typed into chatbox instead of being used? Yeah, that's why I think it'd be nice to have that :P Dunno if it's been said before, if it has, let me know and I'll just delete this post and drop a comment in that one. Thanks!

It's definitely been brought up before, but I couldn't pinpoint a thread for you.

Idk about in combat, because jungles will want to type during clears. And laners have the same habit with your second suggestion.

What I'd suggest (if not already implemented): -A code like [& # 1 3 ;] to type at the end of a message to null it. -A particular key bind to instantly close it. -Auto close if health drops by a significant amount while typing (option to disable of course).
