The changes i hope to see to xin during the diver update.

Xin Zhao: Battle Cry: passive third hit critical strike component removed. However, now grants xin 10% movespeed towards enemy champions while on cooldown. (Can pop w to help you start an engage, or pop it after jumping on someone to keep up with them)

Audacious charge: Cooldown reverted back to 14/13/12/11/10 seconds. Base damage changed to current hp physical damage and ap scaling removed. Ad scaling added. Slows for 50% at all ranks rather than 30/35/40/45/50. No longer applies challenge. Changed from targeted to either free-targeted with lowered dash speed or changed to shunpo-esque target system where you can choose to dash to a spot around a champ.

Crescent Sweep: base damage increased and current hp damage portion removed. Radius increased by 50 units.

These changes are geared at upping the utility of xin while also not making him overbearing against squishier champions. He can now consistently do damage to tankier champions should he choose to use audacious charge on the enemy frontliners. Plus with either of the aforementioned changes to his audacious charge it becomes a much better initiation tool, as xin can now attempt a 'xinsec', where you use the displacement of your ultimate to put someone in the middle of your team.

Overall my problem with xin is just that he is so linear while flash in on cooldown. I dont really have a positioning tool for the ultimate. If i am building damage its even worse as i really only have one choice in fights: go for the enemy adc. Diving adcs simply does not work as you reach higher diamond, unless youre fed to the point of being able to just one shot them before their team can even react.

If you decide not to make the champion less linear then you are just pigeonholing xin into being a pubstomper when 'balanced' and complete cancer at lower elos when strong enough to be played in master/challenger. If a champion is linear the way xin is the only way they can be viable like that is if they are just so overbearing that it doesnt matter.
