NEED HELP PLEASE KASSADIN SUCKS

ok so heres the deal i use to be really good with kassadin in season 5-6 now he just sucks. what the hell happened and can anyone give me a guide on how to play him because idk what the hell to do anymore. early game is shit, and even late game i cant do anything because i rely on my because im super squishy.. idk how to play him now idk if its because of the new update or what but i really need some help please. i have looked everywhere for some sort of video but nobody has anything on the internet. please help i dont want to have had my money gone to waste because i have cosmic reaver kassadin. and i say this because if i cant find any help at all im honestly just never going to use him again. someone help me please. what should i build, how should i play (passive, aggressive, neutral) any sort of help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

I never really have probs with Kass. Even in this meta, you just have to know when to pick your fights.

Here are some build paths

Squishy enemy team: item 3027 item 3030 item 3089 item 3100 item 3158 item 3285 :: buy Hextexh Revolver right after you finish RoA. It gives you GODLIKE trading, you can Easily chunk someones health bar with just q w and thunderlords + hextech.

Tankier enemy team: item 3040 item 3158 item 3100 item 3001 item 3089 item 3285

Start vs AP

item 1056 item 2003 x2

Start vs AD

item 2033

Dorans ring is much better for trading and long term mana sustain vs AP and corrupting helps you survive AD hell in mid lane as Kass.

I'll offer some help in game if you add me. I'm usually on around 5:30PM EST.

Btw standard skill order VS AP

Q>W>Q>E>Q>R>Q>E>Q>E>R>E>W>E>W>R>W>W ;; Max Q and E first as they are easier to trade with from a distance and chunk someone with before you go all in.

Standard for AD I usually go this route

Q>W>E>E>E>R>E>W>E>W>R>W>Q>W>Q>R>Q>Q ;; AD mids are spammers and sticky, you want to max your E in this case as it has a lower Mana cost, Cooldown and only does 5 overall damage less than his Q. Then you want to max W second cause you will mostly be trading in melee range, and W is by far your most damaging ability.

Hourglass is so overrated on Kassadin. A good Kass will wait for his team to engage and blow the enemy CC etc. Kinda like what Kat does. I mean especially when you have RoA, since you're already a little tanky I find no real need for it. However if you find yourself behind it might be useful, but since all the nerfs it's recieved I almost never buy it anymore. Just get Seraphs.

Don't use Q on minions, spam it on the enemy laner, so you have some kill pressure, if the jungler ganks or they try to fight you. Gank bot after 6, kill the enemy midlaner, if it's squishy caster, don't feed - better lose CS early than feeding. Lich Bane feels like a core item, take TP instead of ignite vs strong early game champions like Zed or Yasuo. Kassadin should be pretty good this patch.
