Re-post on Reworked GA Passive Idea

Just some food for thought regarding GA and how 'interactivity' in League of Legends is being worked

This post is just a ditto of the one that's linked - I honestly just guess that no-one saw the last one since it stayed at 1 upvote and didn't receive any comments, so sorry if this is violating rules or is just incessant D:

League has come a long way since when I started in season 3, and a lot of things have been reworked and designed around the feeling of 'interactivity', something that is generally healthier for the state of the game; a few examples being how Janna's passive got reworked, the jungle rework with the new smites and smite buffs, rift scuttler, GP barrels, etc (the list goes on). One of the staple 'carry' role defensive items however, Guardian Angel, has a seriously flat and 'noninteractive' passive that immobilizes you and revives you - it's literally as comparable to an involuntary Zhonya's activation which just isn't really interesting or fun to play around as either the enemy or the player.

I was thinking that it could be changed to something like "Upon death, your champion becomes ethereal (invulnerable and untargetable (is that redundant?)(similar to WoW's death system perhaps?)). During this state, you are able to move at a reduced, fixed speed, and revive upon reactivation/and revive upon coming within 150 units of an allied champion (so they're revived by their teammate before their soul fades away? Fits in with the 'Guardian' concept IMO). Just some food for thought for the balance team. :)

Not to mention the myriad of things that this could be balanced with: Item build path; range of latter passive effect, duration of latter passive effect; penalty for dying in terms of health/damage-output/mana/cooldowns (champion), cooldown of passive (personally I think that anything gated by a stupidly high mana-cost and/or cooldown (with the exception of ultimates purely because that's just intrinsic to their existence)) is unhealthy and unfun (Ahri Q balance change comes to mind post rework), cost of item, etc.

This could fit in nicely with the upcoming item diversity to AD roles too - perhaps having the passive reworked into an offensive item since the item is exclusively bought by ADCs and very few AP mages.
