No safety net for Crashes during champ select?

This is the second time it happened during ranked, and it's pretty infuriating due to its context. After reaching Bronze 1 today from Promo's, I play my first ranked match again. I get a crash during Champ select, and I couldn't return.

Now the BS thing is that, if you dodge on 0 LP, you get -3 LP and you're instantly on a make-or-break game. You NEED to win that one else you get instantly demoted.

What's annoying though is that crashing ingame has a safety net - you can join back anytime - but when you're in champ select and you either crash or dodge, you get an instant loss. There's no safety net for crashing occasions, which are seriously annoying when you're during Promo's, Pre's or on a last-stand (0-3 LP)
